Spent a good 15 minutes today trying to figure out how to balance my duffel full of groceries on the pannier rack and strapping it in with a pair of bunjee cords. Is there any easier, safer and faster alternative?

Get some panniers or just strap a crate to your rack
Find a bucket style pannier, that will make your life easier.
I got one of [these](https://canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/raleigh-rear-bike-basket-0730574p.html) for groceries. I usually put a reusable bag in it so stuff doesn’t rattle around so much, and it just pops off and has a handle so I use it as my basket in the store. It also folds up pretty small. Highly recommend if you can find something like it
