Had to go front wheel motor for conversion as available rear wheel motor axles are too narrow and didn’t think a mid motor would get on with all the timing chains. Wheel rebuilt with Ryde Andra 30 rim. Motor really helps though would of course like more power. Had to get a bar extender as the display mount conflicted with the basket bracket.
Now we can actually gain a bit of height thought I’d add a drag brake luckily Karasawa seem to have stepped into the gap left by Arai. Came with no instructions at all and I couldn’t find any online either but seem to have got it figured out. Helps a little but the drag brake on our old tandem is significantly stronger.
Thought I’d add a frame lock but the rear end is too tight to fit it, so fitted to the fork instead where it conflicted with the steering damper but got it all to fit eventually.
Last image shows previous incarnation with kiddie cranks, thankfully removed now the kids have grown.

Edit: I think it almost compensates in coolness for the battery. But then again if you are going to include a battery it better be on a cool bike like this.
