    That looks sick.

Do you have any left? Test some shellac on it to see if it keeps the pattern. If it works, shellac the wrap on your bars to preserve what you’ve got right now.

If you don’t protect it, then it’ll probably all be faded again in a month and you’ll lose what you’ve got now. Shellac gives awesome grip if you don’t go overboard with it. It’s like sandpaper, but, in a good way. It feels like a skin on the bars instead of just wrap, if that makes any sense… I did two coats recently on some new bars, and I love it so far.

  2. Imo using old stuff is great for many reasons, and when it looks rad like this, perfect. Genunely love the look!

Two thoughts from this one off topic: 1) I often think of a post somerhere that made rounds on internet about a guy kitted out for a trail, just so be passed/crossed paths with a dad and a child holding a barbie and a colorful school bag. Ergo; it’s not always the equipment that helps in doing stuff, the mindset is enough in many aspects. Ofc not all but catch my drift. Def applicable on fixed gear riding at least. 2) ANY prop designer would like his, imagine a post apocalypse setting, boom handlebar ready and done for Viggo Mortensen biking down “the road”. Not saying yours look THAH old, my mind just wandered to movie props for some reason.
