Does anyone know if this is a legit Specialized Rockhopper? Someone said it was a 1987 model but looking at the catalogs that specialised made at the year, it doesn’t match any colour jobs used?

There are some Specialized sommeliers over in r/xbiking that I’m sure would be able to ID the year.
That is a bike with eBay Rockhopper decals. Might be a Hopper. Might not
Seems to be a 1989 model.
Probably a repainted a rock hopper. Would be an ‘89 because ‘87 and ‘88 have a U-break under the chain stay while this one does not. Paint job is similar to ‘89 model year, and the geometry, parts like the stem and wheels are consistent with rockhoppers of those years. I have an ‘87 so I am familiar.
