I have been trying to be patient and wait for the Aeroad CF SLX 7 Di2 in black to be back in stock, but the estimated date keeps getting pushed back. It made me curious about the CF SL 8 Movistar Ultimate as an alternative. I’m 5’10 with a 34” inseam and relatively long arms. Canyon recommends a size M for the Aeroad but a size small for the ultimate. I’m confused as to why since I heard they have the same geometry.
I owned a 2021 CF SL 7 Aeroad in a size small in the past and that bike always felt small to me so I’m confident a M in the Aeroad will feel much better. Why the discrepancy with ultimate sizing? Also curious on people’s opinion about both bikes.
