FYI: you should never ever clamp a frame in a work stand. Carbon frames are usually not designed to withstand clamping forces, modern aluminium bike tubings are sometimes very thin walled (like Liteville for example) and can dent when uncarefully clamped in. A dropper (when fully extended) will usually not suck any air in the system as this is by design impossible. The only frame material that is nearly 100% safe to clamp to is Steel.
If you want to keep it safe, just clamp to the outer shaft of the dropper post, but don’t clamp to your frame!
I have seen so many customers who ruined their sh*tass expensive bike frames by overtightening workstands and car rack clamping mechanisms.
