I’ve had them for a while, laced to dura ace hubs. I haven’t notice any issues after running over many nasty pot holes in Boston, they’re still as true as when I got them. People swear by h plus son rims so I think it’s a safe bet

I say yes as well, don’t have a big comparison with other that some SBC stock wheels, but I’ve ridden some years as a courier the last year’s and have ridden hard, had some bad bumps and some unfortunate hard hitting snake bite flats, and the rim hasn’t budged. Nor even after gotten hit by a car did they misform! Friends and fellow riders have agreed. It’s all relative though, but in my exp. they “feel fast” with a nice hub on them. And they look pretty rad, which was my excuse to begin with 😉

I’ve wanted a set from them for like 15 years and I’m gonna get some later this year. Question is are you tryna get the SL2, Archetype, Formation Face?? Black or silver?

I have a pair of H+Son mounted on paul components hubs. After 3 years and thousands of kilometres of city riding on broken roads and cobbles, I had to slightly true the front wheel.

32 or 36 Open Pros laced to Dura Ace hubs and you can’t go wrong. Take it a step further and have your hubs milled with a grease port ‘a la Campy’ and you’re running like butter for ages. My wheels are YEARS old and still better than most.

I own a sl42 rims wheelset and a tb14 wheelset, great rims! (And my big bro has the hydra rims)

They’re fine rims but not great rims.
In 2024 I’d say Velocity Aileron or some of the DT Swiss disc road rims if brakeless, Velocity A23 or Quill if rim brake.
Velocity and DT are in another level compared to H+S and Alex rims.
