Excellent bike, those Fuji’s flew under the radar for a long time, but their quad-butted VaLite tube sets were probably the best ever made, not the lightest grant you, but not remotely heavy either, but it was the stiffest steel tube set made which transferred more of the rider’s power to rear wheels.

I have a 84 Fuji Club, the exact same frame but with lower-end components and wheels vs yours, and when I ride it compared to my other steel bikes you can feel the difference, even over my old 84 Trek 660 I used for racing that has a tighter geometry!

Try to keep that Team as original as possible if you want to maintain its vintage value, if you replace components keep the old ones. My Club came with Suntour ARX, which was not a good design, it shifted poorly, and I messed with it for about a year, and got tired of so I installed Suntour Superbe Tech, and it shifted like a dream after that…but I kept the ARX stuff.

Anyway, a fantastic bike you have, thanks for sharing it with us.
