Hi Guys, long time lurker first time poster. Here is my 1992 Specialized Rockhopper Comp I rescued from one of our storage containers that used to belong to our foreman in work.

I tried to save as many parts as possible, I also used spares from other bikes that I have acquired (hoarded) over the years, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, the only parts I had to buy were the wheels, bars and tyres.

I love the fact it still has the Oakley/MBUK stickers from the nineties, it’s got lots of character! It will be doing a 12 mile commute when I’m not using my beater Trek.

This Sub was a huge help and inspiration and I had a great time building it, so cheers everyone!

  1. Love it! I also use the zee rd and shifter on my rockhopper. Didn’t have the zee crankset on hand

This is what peak performance looks like. Tell us more about the stem (and threaded-to-threadless adapter?)

That Oakley sticker looks rad on there. Like it did in the 90’s I bet.
