Hey all, am trying to replace the rear brake rotor on my electric bike and my progress has slowed to a halt because of this stripped screw. Does anyone have suggestions of how to get this out? I’ve tried rubber bands and cutting into the head. Obviously it can’t be too abrasive as it’s directly attached to the rear hub motor, so I’m at a loss. Any advice would be super appreciated!

Vice grips sometimes work or cut a straight line through the middle of it and use a large flat head. I’ve had to do both methods before. Also, you could take a drill bit and drill off the head to remove the rotor and then vice grips to get out the shank after the rotor is off.
Do you have a Dremel or small saw that can cut metal? Cut a straight line in what’s left of the top and try to turn it with a big flathead screw driver.
Other option is an extractor kit. They’re not too expensive and it’s nice to have for when stuff like this happens.
