I am wondering if anyone knows if I need to keep what canyon call the ‘wedge’ is the stack below the cp10 aero cockpit (in the pictures it is above the cp10 stem so the plate can still be attached)? I took it out today to lower the stem and it looks like the stem isn’t really flush with the bearings of the headset. It looks like the wedge is a little flared to be flush. So if I don’t use the wedge (and eventually probably cut the steerer tube) could there be issues with dirt/water in the headset?

Not sure if things changed but I do believe you need it to be first in the stack. I looked into the same in 2020 when I got my bike and sounded like Canyon had a special wedge for pros but I’m not sure how you get that.
