today we are in hall for the first bhbc event of the season I will be riding the usual zokra High racer I have been building a new bike but it is not yet ready we are not short of outstanding vob today and even the carbon trike the first race of the day will be the Slow Race exactly four laps Steve march on his Carbon on cycle is having the best start ly tibo on his challenge Focus is having the worst start after the first lap Steve march on his un cycle is leading the race by quite a big margin majers Le on his challenge Jester is in second place followed by Alan Goodman on his wind shooter trike ly talber on his challenge focused on Martin Kel on his carbon trike are battling for the four place is a for on her trike on J Harding on his on cycle are at the back of the field Steve March’s Carbon on cycle is dominating that race I think he’s faster than quite a few riders in the faster race somehow today we are split into three races The Slow Race that you are watching now the medium race and the fast race that will be coming up later Martin kizel and ly tber are still battling for the first place Sheri Harding on his un cycle on EA foron on a trike are fighting for the sixth place Steve march on his un cycle is already lapping them nously on his challenge low racer is in second [Music] place Alan Goodman on his windsh trke is still in Ser Place Ste match SC on cycle as won the race [Music] L Talbot wins the Sprints for the fourth place now is the time for the medium race for lapse I am attacking straight away your and father on his M5 laacer is right behind me he usually is my competitor for the unfaired [Music] classification my attack is successful and I am leading the race to the the [Music] end now is the time for the fast race russellb is riding the new Woodstock Streamliner the great Streamliner that you can see at the front how will it fair against the vobes tow on his R racer is somehow in that race it’s not an advantage as you won’t be able to work with anybody to go faster after Al a lap wbd in his W Streamliner is leading the race ahead of Slash in the bino Streamliner Le xfield in his SN vmobile is in third place closely followed by Jack Watson in the B swim liner J in the aqua vmobile is in fifth place followed by the yellow donkey Streamliner slash in the bino Streamliner has taken back the lead ahead of Russell bridge in the Woodstock stream liner [Music] l xfield in his snob is only a couple of seconds behind joh actually coming back Derek twiddle in his yellow donke Streamliner is quite a bit slower in sixth place andw on his R racer is in last place is quite logical he is the only unfaired bike in that race J his acular vobile has overtaken Jack Watson is Bob Streamliner slash the bino Streamliner is increasing his leads however the battle for the second place is hitting up the two velomobiles and the two streamliners are a couple of seconds of each other slash in the B Streamliner is now bound to win wasel Beach and Le fields are battling for the second place closely followed by CH GRE in aqua mobile Derek twiddle in the yellow Streamliner is quite a long way behind in six Place ja Watson in the Bob Streamliner has now been [Music] dropped slash in the Pino Streamliner has won the race he has even lapped Andrew Sewell in the last lap now is the time for the second Slow Race 45 minutes plus one lap there will be no medium race this time so we are either in the slower or in the faster [Music] race joh on his is having the best start he actually does not have a front Fair ring it is actually a huge chain Wing guard after the first lap Steve Marsh on his Caron on cycle has taken the lead he is followed by a group of five Riders Steve Marchin cab on cycle is still leading ahead of John Miss and King than Bonzi on rout to L racer is not far behind it is rather chilly for a day the weather will get worse on the next day so much so that the race will be shortened it will be around 5° and raining a lot Steve March is still leading the race on his un cycle it looks like the race will be won by one of these four Riders Steve march on his Carbon on cycle is still within the r which is quite amazing as the group of two wheelers is supposed to be [Music] faster Kim on Optima bar and John on have taken the lead J is spending away in the last lap and taking the wind ahead of te w on a Optima racer van his W to thir of Ste march on his hand cycle off the now is the time for the fast race 45 minutes plus one lap the streamliners are favorite to win as this strike is reasonably fast I am not starting very quickly right behind John gried in his Australian quer vobile I don’t want to waste any energy against velomobiles that should be faster on this track after Alpha kilometer I got dropped by the vobile and I dropped Andrew seidell on his rat racer as jeel youran father on his M5 low racer is coming back my average pace is not fast enough and he’s overtaking me he probably we still have 25 km to the end of the race so there is plenty of time to think about the next [Music] move slash in the bino Streamliner is leading the race and he is going to lap us he’s followed by Westbridge in his new Woodstock Streamliner in second place there are probably 10 of 15 km faster than us Russel brid is aiming at going as fast as slash in the bino Streamliner but he’s not quite there yet [Music] is in third place and the is lapping [Music] us Simon Watson in the spelly Streamliner seems to be closing in on us he’s now sitting in my wheel slash in the bino Streamliner is already lapping us for the second time he will win that race as usual we are lapping team McDonald in his Milan SL vobile [Music] joh G his a witha vmobile is slapping [Music] us wasel bridge in his wock fob is lapping us again as well he will end up in second place for the race the unfaired bikes really have no chance to win on this strike Derek twiddle Z yellow Dy Streamliner seems to be closing in on us is one lap Ahad [Music] [Music] [Music] dle in the yellow Streamliner is Laing [Music] us Simon Watson is taking the opportunity to overtake us I’m not trying to follow as the priorities to be your own on his M5 low [Music] racer that’s it I am launching an attack okay there is one or two laps [Music] remaining very soon I’m catching up with Simon Watson in the Spy Streamliner and B fle in the yellow Streamliner [Music] I’m going to unlap myself and end up in six Place overall and first in the unfair and partially F [Music] classification I don’t have any video of the next day as I was literally Frozen in the cold temperature and Rain stay tuned for the next video

Every time I lose a race I celebrate by awarding myself a trophy for winning the slow race.
The first round was split into three groups in order to test 3-way merging of results in the new timing software. We'll need that for the WHPVA championships in August, so it made sense to split a short race into three groups as a test.
Andrew Sidwell was in the fast group so that he and I would be in different races so there would be someone to work the timing computer. (This is why I sometimes end up leading the slow race.)

Sunday's conditions really were atrocious. My fingers got so cold packing up the cables for the sprint timer that I was struggling to work my gears and brakes. Naturally the weather improved about an hour after we finished.
