Had a large shard of glass get through my marathon pluses and give me the dreaded Brompton rear wheel puncture. Have had the wheel off, taken the glass out, put in a new tube and reinflated to find this small hole in the tyre with the smart guard layer visible through.
Is this tyre rideable still, or that is that game over for the tyre?
Also yes I have realised I've fitted it the wrong way round 🤦, will at least be correcting that.

The tire is certainly still rideable, albeit less reliably than before.
If you can afford a new one, it wouldn’t hurt, but replacement certainly is not required.
I’m assuming you’re in the UK based on the spelling of tire, so I can’t vouch for your local currency, but if I wanted to confidently keep the tire running in the US, I would fold a dollar bill a few times over and then tape it into position under the gash on the inside.
