  1. That looks fine. Brake tracks have a minimum thickness, like brake rotors. While it’s not easy to measure that without a micrometer you can check the flatness of the surface which will give you a decent idea of how worn it is. Just lay a ruler, credit card, or similar small straight edge across the brake track and see how concave it is.

  2. Hard to tell if there’s on one groove from the pictures but if it’s only one groove, that’s your wear indicator for when to replace the rim. When that’s gone, so is the rim.
