[Music] morning everybody today is Friday June 7th beautiful day once again very little wind supposed to be we’re heading out from Al to bun so a bit on the ev8 once we uh Once We join it bit further north but right now this is nice a nice trail trail it is indeed we’ll take it once again as soon as we got out of ARL we had just a lot of uh agricultural land Countryside very nice it’s not definitely what people have in mind when they think of France oh [Music] so Lou how’s it going going well it was nice to actually stop for lunch to cool down because it’s been the f um so way too much food though yes we have some uh uh crabs with h in the honey and it was just delicious and we were sitting outside on the patio which was very nice in the shade and uh weing the road we I think we have five 5 miles left to do and this is nice where we are right now we have some shade so we’re not complaining and the rug has been absolutely fantastic from morning from now so it ISS very encouraging so we’re going to be arriving in bu and we’ve go for three nights there and I’m going to cycle and see different Villages from V yeah tomorrow and the Sunday they’re calling for rain most of the day so that’s why we decided to stay for 3 days and Monday we head for the moou yes should be nice we spent the next few days discovering the luberon region with its medieval perched towns we visited bonu as well as G laust minel all with their special touches discovering the uh the castles the history behind all of it uh was always very amazing the town of Laos Fortress castle at the top uh is now a uh an art gallery and with quite a few pieces on the outside of it as well each Town provided great views of the next medieval town because of the Heights and the the views we also learned that some of these towns almost disappeared a few times in over the history of the course of time through religious wars was one of the reasons the other one was the the black plague where the entire region lost about 80% of its population either through the disease itself or through the famine that resulted from having lost so many people that were that had the knowledge of how to produce Etc finally we visited this small town of lur on the recommendation of some cyclists that we met and explored the the castle which was very impressive from an architectural point of view as well as some of the artifacts the castle was renovated when purchased by Rich industrialist and then uh create a foundation for in for the benefit of the Arts so there’s concerts and expositions there on a regular basis Louise did a great job of finding these special restaurants venues to allow us to sample the local fairs which were always very fresh and very tasty visiting each one of these towns meant climbing up to the town and getting back to bun which was at the top of the mountain as well on very hot days as it had been very humid with storms Brewing so luckily we on WE avoided the rain and on Sunday we had the storm Sunday evening which then uh cleared the air but brought in the mistal winds so on Monday as we left ban for bed and theu we knew that we were going to be having three days of strong winds uh headwinds as the wind was coming from the Northeast and we were heading uh North and then uh a bit to the east as well but overall it was a great ride on nice roads through nice towns all the way up nice Country Roads bit on the windy side right now we have a headwind which we’ll be happy until we get to bid but these Hedges on the side do block some of the wind so that’s good 5943 WI [Music]
