I love everything about by Canyon gravel bike except its apperance, it comes with unusually high-quality components for its price, but for the color, the only two options at the time is this yellow, or an even uglier dark green. Today, I came across a Trek road bike that has a really cool paintjob, so I used Photoshop to show what a Canyon Grail AL with the same paintjob would look like. And it did look a lot better than the original!
Has anyone tried re-painting their bikes before? What are some of the things to watch out for?
This sounds like one of those “if you are asking, you shouldn’t do it” questions tbh, assuming you meant painting it yourself, it’s a decent bike and you want a factory-like quality.
I’m a good bike mechanic and decent at DIY in general, so in case I’d needed to repaint any of my bikes I’d look for a specialist, strip down the bike myself and pay for the repaint 🙂
