My dad had this old rusty shit box rotting away in a wet basement , but I loved the sparkly dookie brown paint and lugged frame. Just got new tires, grips, brake shoes and inner cables. Lots of cleaning, surface rust removal and degreasing. Looks straight out of Sears 80s now😆

Well done…well done. That color is something else.
I fell for a Columbia once… I got all psyched, stripped it, cleaned it, polished it, did the crank adapter, I built it a 7 speed internal hub… I even got the tank lights to work.
So, so beautiful.. and then I rode it.
It was awful.
(I also had to really micro-adjust the rear wheel so the fat cruiser tire wouldn’t rub against the fender. It’s why the chain looks slack. I couldn’t pull it all the way back in the dropout.)
It sure was pretty though….

It had original tires and tubes 7 Stars brand on both. The new 2.125 seem so much fatter
