Hello everybody!
After doing a couple adventure rides, I can say that I'm hooked. I've been having fun with my 90s giant and although still some adjusting needed here and there, its been great. Recently I've gone to wondering if I should upgrade my frame to something like a crust evasion, romanceur or maybe something like a supertramp. I would move most parts over that I can obviously.
However aside from disc brakes and maybe no quill stem, what would be the biggest change?
My other idea was leaving this as is and maybe making something new and different! I was considering a tracklocross build as I've recently made some friends that do that on the weekends.
What would you do N+1? New frame? Or a third option of keep upgrading my current whip? (Got a dynamo front wheel being built up).

That bike looks sweet. Get an n+1
Do you have any needs not met by your current bike? If not, I would just continue to ride the current bike (perhaps with minor modifications if you really have the itch to tinker, or see areas for improvement on it). If you do have unmet needs, and the current bike can’t meet those needs, then I’d consider building up a second bike to meet those needs.
A retro-mod MTB frame like yours is a perfect starting point, because it can be good for so many different types of riding (often just by swapping out wheelsets with different tires). Eventually, you’ll likely start doing more and more rides of a type where you’ll have a definite need or set of needs not really met by this bike.
Personally, I think that’s when it makes the most sense to invest in a new build. You’ll have a very clear objective for your build, and you’ll have more money to put towards it. You’ll also likely get way more value from the new build.
N+1 is always the answer
Honestly that bike is æsthetic as heck. I’d keep building it up & n+1 if you really want another bike
This bike looks rad. Keep it and consider buying a new bike in a different niche if you have the money. Don’t ditch this one though, it’s way steazier than an Evasion (and I say that as a Crust owner).
I doubt you’ll feel that much of a difference with a different frame and all the same rest of the parts. Way more money efficient and more interesting to just buy another complete bike then trick it out over time
