Hi All. I’m rehabbing an ACL replacement and recently was cleared to start road biking again. I used to commute by bicycle and rode just about every day on this bike, but fell out of the sport for various reasons. I pulled my bike out to get to get it ready to start riding and noticed that the brake hoods are sticky and pulling apart and need to replace them.
The bike is a 2016 Fuji Cross 2.0 with a Shimano 105 groupset. The hoods and brakes don’t seem to have a part number I can find and I’m not sure how interchangeable they are between models and years. Is there a part number on the groupset I can use to track down a replacement? Can I use any recent Shimano 105 hoods as a replacement?

The part number for replacement brake hoods for your levers (ST-5800) is Y00E98080
So just google “Shimano Y00E98080” and you should get a ton of hits on vendors who carry it.

There are lots. As long as you see 5800 compatible, you’re good.
Far and Near, Hudz or the endless Ali Express brands are viable alternatives to Shimano. I have bright yellow ones.
