This is my film of my tour of The Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. I had a week in Cornwall at the end of September and the weather was poor for most of the week, however I took advantage of a Sunny period and got out to do a 33 mile loop of the Lizard Penisula taking in some stunning scenery and some great climbs.
I started my ride at Goonhilly Earth Station then headed out across the Goonhilly Downs towards the Lizard. While planning the route, I thought I would add a little detour into Cadgwith Cove, pretty little place, but totally unnecessary, as after a scary 25% drop into the little cove, I had a brutal climb back out, which was horrendous. After a few more miles I was greeted by the awesome Lizard, the furthest point south in the UK. What an incredibly dramatic place, it was tough to drag myself away. The rest of the ride was more descents into stunning coves, followed by more brutal climbs.
Awesome sunny day on the bike, stunning scenery, and some testing climbs.
Oh ….and I had a bonus little detour to the top of Kynance Cove for more dramatic scenes.
