Looking to buy a hydraulic disc brake MTB around the $600-$700 dollar range but Im stuck between two bikes atm. Ones the Giant Talon 3 ($700) and the other is 99bikes pedal brand Colt 2 hardtail ($600)(Never heard of the brand but they look legit). I dont really know if the difference between the bikes is worth the change in price and the talon 3 has microshift shifters which the guy at the store said isnt as good as shimanos because it affects the chains tension or something? Im leaning towards the colt 2 cuz the talon doesnt look like it has much more for $100 but I really dont know what the actual differences are. Please help me out and leave any opinions on which bike is better.
