Might be a bit hard to see I couldn’t really get it to focus in perfectly (yes the chain has been worked on obviously I broke it too short and just got a vise so I put it all back together to save as a extra and I was looking closely the gold link says KMC… but every white link has a odyssey logo. Just wanted to show this to people I know many are very aware of this but these companies make the same half links literally it’s the same chain as those ones you guys pay 60-70$ for from shadow… sorry to tell you but you could’ve got the same one with KMC logos instead for 29.99 with a chain tool included… so really you’re paying just like 25$ for that half link chain that’s literally designed by a guy from KMC. Look for the info on google it’s all there look up if KMC makes shadow chains it’ll tell you yes… so wanted to hopefully help save the bmx community some money. I mean if you get the shadow at this point or whatever brand just know you paid for a logo not a difference in quality from a KMC… you’re just a hypebeast 😂🤷♂️ to each his own though
Do u guys truely think it’s worth 30-40$ more on a half link chain with the same dimensions as the KMC just to engrave or print a logo onto chain links? Might still have a KMC logo or two anyways so I mean….lemme know your opinions.

Isn’t that just a half link added to a chain? Half link chains are just easier to slam that’s really it I honestly don’t think there stronger
I’m with you on not running overpriced chains. I haven’t once broken a bluebird. I’d stay away from those painted chains though, they run alittle grittier.
Kmc arent remotely the only manufacturer of chains. Shadows chain also is not the same half link, being A – they brought the half link to market and B – you can tell it’s not the same as unbranded ones, equally their supreme chain is again not generic. Now granted kmc 41- and 510 are used by many brands with their logos stamped on to the links, so yes in this case you can buy kmc’s own version for less. Equally when it comes to Taiwan made, you’re going to be shocked when you discover almost all of your favourite brands items are made in the same factories, it’s rarely in bmx about who made it, and more about the brand you like and want to support.
Bluebird is a kmc 510. Every company has a 510 chain pretty much, all made by kmc. Bluebird was innovative at the time for including the half link though. Others don’t.
KMC 710 will forever remain my favorite chain. I am now riding the animal flavour because I love Hoder and it comes with extra links. I will buy another one this autumn, and again next year. Unbeatable
