      Can’t say I have a clue about the Canadian used bike market but someone correct me if I’m wrong but even 800CAD seems insane for cantilever brakes? The bike seems great otherwise, not the biggest tyre clearance though

      I personally wouldn’t spend that much money on this bike I think. Also you may end up spending a fair bit on top for new tyres, chain, cassette and chainrings in the near future as well. I can be wrong of course, but this is what usually happens when I buy a used bike. I’d look elsewhere..

      I think the price is between reasonable and a bit on the high side on the grounds of converting the currency and comparing it to the German bike market.

      Saying that, those carbon rim brake rims would make me nervous. Especially if you have not seen the bike before I have had the experience quite a few times people usually have a good reason to sell a bike as in: there is something wrong with it. And those carbon rims are the prime suspect here.

      If everything is in decent condition, the frame is a good name brand, the components look like very nice parts and probably whoever spent so much on it knew how to assemble it. If that is the type of bike you are looking for I think you should go for it. Just keep in mind that this is a lot of money and there are probably alternatives with all the modern conveniences like disc brakes.

      They’re probably not getting many bites for $1,500. $800 is a deal. Those honjo fenders alone are over $200.
