I’m looking at getting a GT Grade Comp for my wife bc it’s on a really good sale right now and seems like a sick bike to get her into gravel. She’s in between sizes though. She’s 5’7” but lanky. I’ve called every dealer within 100 miles and nobody carries the grade. I’ve emailed GT and called them several times. They didn’t respond to email and they never pick up the phone. They tell you to leave a voicemail but their mailbox is full.
This bike is the most affordable way to get her hydraulic brakes and GRX on a good frame. It’s only $1200 right now but am I buying from a dead company? Are they trustworthy? How do I get sizing advice if I can’t find anywhere where she can test ride? This whole process is making me want to spend $500 more and get a Topstone 2 from my LBS even though I like the Grade more.
