  1. Seeing as those are gravel tires, I’d think that’s cutting it too close. Mud, rocks and other debris from the trail will eventually chew up or knock the derailleur.

    What’s the max clearance for the frame?

  2. Wheels and tires flex in corners. You’re one hard turn from ripping off the derailleur and potentially damaging the frame.

    I concur with the comments on this. All that is said is relevant and I would also throw out there that if your wheel becomes out of true you’re going to have some problems.

    Do you have the little support shim for that FD? On SRAM fd’s it provides an important back support for fd while shifting under load. Without it you’ll end up dropping chains eventually.
