Basically trying to run a bottom pull Sora fd with no cable stop on a frame that uses full housing.
Is something like this mounted below the FD on the seat tube the best move? I’m running friction so I suppose I could find a bottom pull FD with an integrated cable stop also?

I am going to attempt this on a bike I’m building right now… I can report back in a few days. If it does not work, my backup is to just get a new crank and run 1x
You can do it, and it will work, but you’ll introduce a lot friction in the housing as it pull up and under the bottom bracket. If it’s a dual pull fd, place the cable stop clamp above the fd and run the full housing along the top tube and seat tube, much less friction.
If there are no housing stops, then yes that’s pretty much the plan.
Depending on the bike/situation, another way to do is put one on the downtube, then add a BB cable guide to the BB. The advantage here is that upwards-facing openings to the housing like you’ll be creating otherwise can invite in a lot of water and grime.
I’ve used this successfully before
