Hey all,
I have removed one of the spacers on my Aeroad and followed official video for it.
Nevertheless the entire fork moved out during the process and now I have too much play on the bottom part?
On top I already used the tool to “hand tighten” it but I am now afraid to continue to not beak something.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I had the same issue. Whole fork came out so I just left the spacer in and put it back together. I have the exact same amount of space on the bottom part and have no issues whatsoever. There has to be some room

That gap at the bottom bearing is normal, I have the same on my aeroad and I don’t use any spacers
I had a similar gap on all my canyon bikes (4) 🙂
Lock in your frontbrakes and move the bike forward and backwards. If there is play/loose you will feel it
Yeah it’s a bit loose. Try loosening the screw and then rock the bike with the brake lever squeezed. The key is to really wobble the bike a bit to make sure everything is sitting on top of each other. Then do up the top pinch bolt with that dart looking tool to finger tight before retightening the screw. It takes a few tries to get it right though, I’ve had to do it a few times.
