Bought these bib shorts in Italy on 19th May, have done 3 rides in them, ranging between 80-200km. I’ve noticed this just near the padding after the third ride. Very disappointed. Cost over €100 so expect much better, considering I haven’t had any such issues with rival brands in the same price range, especially after so few rides! Reckon they’d replace?

Worth checking you don’t have anything that it could be catching on in that area. I once wore out a pair of shorts because the inside of my leg was just barely touching the corner of a Velcro strap and overtime it started with this pattern and eventually completely wore out before I realized why it was happening.
That said, you say you don’t have the issue with other shorts so maybe not.
I have a few pairs of Ostroy bib shorts and I have the same issue. I only happens to the Ostroy shorts because I have other branded shorts that this doesn’t happen to.
I think that there is a material that is used that is not made to rub against saddles. I was using a fabric shaver to trim the frayed material.
Not good and that it can’t handle the rubbing. Are these the Matt 2.0 version by chance? I was looking to buy one as it looked like good value. Will reconsider now.
Give it a shot on replacement; it’s obviously a defect.
I had this on maaps. It was the fizik Antares saddle that caused it, the three lines on each side like a cheese grater. Changed the saddle. Poor design imo
