I’m looking for my first road bike but I don’t know to much about road bikes since I’m coming from the XC side of things. Just wondering if you guys think this is good value or not?
This is ***outrageously*** overpriced. Emphasis on ‘outrageously’.
At this price point, you should be expecting either top spec, or second tier spec, hydraulic disc brake and electronic shifting, and in the current generation.
Brand new bike, Ultegra Di2 and hydraulic disc brakes, *and its cheaper.*
Edit: That is, at most, a $2000 bike. Sure, the quarq PM is nice, and its got good wheels, but still. Its way overpriced. RIm brake bikes are not nearly as valuable as disc right now. Further, the entire industry is moving away from mechanical shifting.
Even at $2000, I’d be wincing at this purchase big time.

Just buy new

Second hand rim brakes for that prices is unacceptable to me.
And that stem-headtube connection looks trash. Just visually, can’t speak on the quality.
That’s it. My very useless opinion 😉
Okay maybe something useful. I don’t know what tire size that is but based on the picture and the rim brakes, that probably as wide as you could fit. If those or 30’s or 28’s, fine. I wouldn’t buy anything that fits maximum 25’s for example.

You can get new disc bike for a lot less!

Holy cow, this is more expensive than it is brand new, as i’m writing this! And by a HUGE (The Hulk huge) margin! Whomever’s selling this is either trying to make a quick buck or was also burned by someone else and paid a very, very hefty premium for this bike. At this price, you can get… well, think used Cervelos and whatnot, not a Cube.
