I need to remove the spacer (in lime green), but the thread (in pink) is messed up.
Need to remove the driver on the other side of the axle, so clean and switch it out, but that thread is also done.
How do I prevent thread damage from happening in the first place?
Or is that unavoidable sooner or later (since the fork or frame put pressure on it right?)
I know that there is tools to fix broken threads, just need to get the right one, lots of right lubricant and a little luck, but I really dont wanna go through all that just to be able to switch out a driver
Thanks!

Don’t ride with a loose wheel, and don’t slam or hammer your wheel in or out of the frame
I would advise getting a female bolt style axel next time you buy a wheel or hub. They are much stronger and this doesn’t happen as much
