You can try to install it again correctly and see what happens. There is still a good amount of spline available for contact but its far from ideal. Just make sure that you correctly torque the pinch bolts down, doing each one a little at a time until they are both at 12-14Nm.

Ok. The preload bolt does not transfer any forces once the crankset is installed. All should be handled by the pinch bolts – once they are installed, you can even remove the preload bolt.
Install the crank arm correctly, torque the pinch bolts to spec and enjoy your ride. There is nothing wrong here.
