Hey yall! I own a older bike, 5 speed, has one vintage suntour friction shifter attached to the right side of the handlebar
I have never used one before, and maybe I'm just silly, but I find it very hard to understand the shifting mechanics.
Does anyone have insight into how friction shifting works? Specifically one on the handlebar?
I have found some videos on YouTube of friction shifting but most are on the frame of the bike and I'm not sure if it's the same or different or what haha.
I included a close up of the shifter and one of the overall bike.
