Pedro’s Trixie tool, it’s got a lockring hook spanner and axle nut wrench. Fits nicely in my small frame bag or whatever I end up carrying things in for the ride.
I’ve tried getting by with random compact bike multi-tools, but they’re always more trouble than they’re worth for axle nuts. I now just carry a full-sized box wrench with me. Yes, it’s big and heavy, but it’s not nearly as heavy as my lock (or my fat ass, for that matter), so I don’t really notice it.

I’m using something like this, except it’s in all silver. Combo tire lever and axle nut wrench.
A random 14/15mm box wrench. My Miche hubs have 14mm nuts, so I have to have both.

A random 15mm spanner I bought from bunnings for like 6 dollars

Got a couple 15mm spanners I’ve broken the open end from tryna remove seized pedals, closed end fits my axle nuts so happy days, although on my fixed gear freestyle bikes I’ve got a mixture of 17mm or 19mm nuts so depending if I’m running pegs I carry either a folding stubby ratchet shirt extension and deep sockets or double ended ratchet spanner 17/19mm

I’ve always used [this](https://www.tradeinn.com/bikeinn/en/lezyne-15-mm-pedal-tool/139524766/p?utm_source=google_products&utm_medium=merchant&id_producte=18372011&country=us&gad_source=1).
I have a vintage “peanut butter” wrench. It’s probably 60+ years old and is compact. Got it for about $8+ shipping on eBay some years back.
A socket wrench which is the best tool to avoid stripping axle nuts.
I just picked up a Runwell Titan15D. It’s my second Runwell tool, and I am a huge fan.
I have a 15mm ratchet wrench. Stays in my jersey pocket.

I’ll never look at any other 15mm spanner again.
