The UK’s only MTB slopestyle line gets big changes – Will it work? I ride the new features on the first public slopestyle line in England on my Canyon slope bike and have the best session ever, are you ready to ride the full line?

The slopestyle line here at Twisted Oaks Bikepark is finished due to the new features working perfectly, with some totally new jumps being built and modifying old ones the speed throughout the line is working just right and is now ready for the public to come a shred! I want to say a huge thanks to the bike park for allowing such a line and of course Mark and John for helping so much! We will have a huge opening jam in the coming weeks and will let you all know when to get down there for a ride! Could you make it through the line?

hello everyone today is going to be epics we’re back at the slope style course of dreams and it’s totally changed there wasn’t enough speed so there’s a lot of new things that have been built that we’re going to test today if you remember from the previous episodes there used to be a hip behind me here which used to hit after the first landing as a separate option that’s totally gone and now in its place we have a wooden take off and that goes into this huge Landing here which should give us way more speed John’s been hard at work on the Digger he’s stacked all this dirt up here so now you either go wall ride Landing quarter pipe or you do this hip here jump there keep your speed then because of this we’re going to have way more speed into the up box then obviously you go off the drop here and this used to be a big spine I think in the last episode you saw that we dug that out didn’t we I’ve tested this once on my slope Duro bike and I landed super far off the roller it’s too big So today we’re going to be taking that roller down and testing that with the speed and also packing in that and testing that along with digging packing and testing we want to Spruce the whole thing up Mark and JRE under the first drop where there’s like a new Forest has grown and they’re smashing away some of that now just spent quite a bit of time smoothing this off John had done an amazing job with the Digger but it just needed a last bit of fettling with the spade look at that that that is unbelievable it is massive it’s rained quite a lot recently so there’s quite a bit of so on the ground so we’re going to just scrape these top layers of SOG off and then what’s joh doing down [Music] there this bit isn’t too bad really we’ll just let the sun dry up a bit that lip I’ve actually ridden on my slope Duro on a session not too long ago just quickly that works well good but this part here as you can see when you try and roll it at speed you take off about there and you actually land the other side of it so we’ve got to dig annoyingly about that much off the top a few moments later we find ourselves with a lower roller which hopefully means we won’t get air over it and we go full speed we’re down at the front of the final jump there’s some rain rut together with myself and Lou we’ve spruced up the running now if you look that way Lou smoothed that all it looks nice all Rak and then this way I filled in the holes for that’s ready we’re just going to rake The Landing we’ve now come to the exciting part of testing this ramp this is actually a little ramp that’s been laying around at the bike park here if this Gap and distance works then we’ll get one made that looks similar to the rest of them with the nice big slat but for now we’ve got this I think four or five foot ramp that’s going to give us a bit of a step up into there and then like we keep saying dreams are going to become reality so let’s just get up there give it a go well excited running and now we can use the new stairway as well it’s not ready for everyone yet but it’s getting there this is going to be amazing and then the steps will have full steps in there so it’ll be easier here we go then let’s test this new little section roll in here drop oh wow loads of speed oh oh my God that’s amazing it’s a bit soft there I didn’t know exactly where to land but yeah it’s quite soft isn’t it but now I know though oh my God that’s going to be so sick I need to stay higher and then rather than cying it quick more dropping here’s another test run cruise that jump [Music] there oh yeah that was well good then into this wow yeah that was good didn’t even have to Pedal as much then we’re now going to test the other option of the existing lip into that I think it’s going to be well cool like it’s a little bit soft now but the speed outs actually awesome so just going to keep riding it to pack it in more let’s try this transfer option then drop oh miles oh I went so quick look I landed miles away there I need to go slower and hop right across up to there let’s do it again oh it’s really soft I’m going to give this a trick now I’ll flip that and then see how it feels it’s actually pretty sick it is soft underneath but you still you’ve got way more speed now coming around that to so I’ll give it a flip in see how that changes things and then we’ll do some more stuff down [Music] pretty good it’s quite boggy at the moment cuz we changed loads of stuff around and obviously had a lot of rain the original wo ride to quarter pipe is still the fastest option at the moment and you go straight up onto there and down but then after this it’s quite soft you got to Pedal into the last one and obviously the new Landing is going to be completely soft it’s never been ridden yet but you get good speed out of all this stuff now we just need to fettle it a bit more that it’s perfect into the light I might even move the last Gap last Gap in slightly just so it makes it a bit easier but right now we’re going to play on this hip here I want to get some good speed and see how high we can go out it speed into this John also threw on this little option which is quite cool I wanted a lip on the side here so you can jump that that and just session the last jump on its own so I’m to give that a go and see what it’s like oh my God it’s so oh my God it’s way easy to clear I want to see if I can get a flip with on the last one let’s give it a go that flip whip was well good I’m stoked on that the line is pretty it’s so flyy down here it’s not me by the way it’s just a flyy location um on a montage a lap Now tricks on every feature have a good time and obviously when it’s open the more people that ride it the stiffer it’s going to get the faster it’s going to get and the bigger we can go to the top n [Music] [Music] that was a fun little mash up I might have done each trick individually but you’d never know would you I’m going to do one finale of this video I’m going to drop in I’m not going to Pedal once that’s the challenge clear the whole line just to show you that it’s getting harder as we’ve been riding it no pedals original line here we go drop jump all ride perfect up up I got to do [Music] one I got all the way then until just there and then I had to Pedal we’re going to do what I didn’t really want to do that is move that Gap in we’re going to go about that far just to make it actually enjoyable that you can cruise I really wanted a massive jump it’s still going to be big I guess once it’s stiffened up we’ll be able to move it back again John just turned up with a bazooka looking thing let’s see that bazooka a sec blow the slope line John just turned up that to blow the whole lineup we’re going to put these little things that he fashioned under the ramp and then we’re going to like an Egyptian pull it forward to there and it’s going to be the best thing ever when that’s done yeah easy oh look there’s a mole about to go in and save the day go on Boyd save the day then a little bit of dirt yeah better see if you can see the bottom of the board clean uh think so it’s now moved that far look the gap’s still big look it’s a big old Gap all covered back up two foot shorter could be the dream let’s try it droping test it from here first Cruis in oh yeah that was no pedals Let’s Go full length no pedals at all right let’s see if we can do it without pedals from here [Music] yo wow just that one change so good now here we go full lap shter last one’s going to make it way better hit the Wally a not pedaling little tap nice oh it’s so good now oh yeah much better cuz it was CU it’s been hard to clear for ages it’s actually scary to let yourself accept that it’s easy now that just made this place I’m incredible there we go slope line it’s basically done bit of stiffening up on that new bit keep riding on here I think we’ll be open in couple of weeks how exciting yes finally it works that’s so cool just by moving that that tiny bit has opened up the excitement levels so much you will all be able to session it very soon keep your eyes open I’ll let you know and it’s ready for the jam session pumped is there any ideas
