S stem vs H stem

Hi all. Just based on eyeballing these two, it appears that the H stem and S stem have the same length, measured from the top of the headset once inserted, to the center of the handlebar clamp, give or take a few mm. Also appears that the have the same bend just above the stem catcher knob, to allow more reach.

I’m thinking to replace my S stem with H because my wide handlebars won’t fold. Thinking H bars would life them off the ground a bit.

Are these two stems similar in height once installed (not counting the handlebars) and can anyone think of a reason I wouldn’t replace the S stem with H ?
