  1. Can you grip it with something and twist? Not sure if it’s accessible here, but can you also loosen the tension?

  2. Loosen the tension as loose as possible, mount the pedal on the bike, try to clamp somethings on the two bottom corners and twist as hard as possible.

    You can remove the bolt/hinge which holds the rear part in place.

    Or you could try forcing the hinge open with your hands while you twist the cleat.

    Or you could probably use a pair of plumber’s pliers to grab it through the holes and twist it. Or a vise to grab the sides.

    Just loosen the tension screw and then push the part that holds the cleat in back with a flat head screwdriver. Simples.
