  1. Sounds like BB30, where the bearings are pushed directly into the frame. Take it to a shop, bearing replacements aren’t fun.

    One nice thing about BB30 (maybe the only nice thing) is that you can get a thread-together bottom bracket to replace it. I’d consider that route.

  2. Rub the grease off. The bearing seal has numbers on it. Thats what bearing it is. Pop old out. Pop new in.

    I have a Cannondale with some weird BB30 variant and I replaced it with one of the thread together ones from Wheels Mfg, a little pricy but super quality and imo totally worth it.
