Hi. I was trying to adjust the headset of my Canyon Commuter 6 and found this piece to be broken. When trying to put it back, it did not screw.
I found what probably might be a replacement but I’m not sure if it’s a fit: https://www.canyon.com/en-de/gear/bike-parts/contact-points/handlebars-and-stems/canyon-gp0193-01-changing-kit-cockpit-to-handlebar/10002909.html
Otherwise, could I use a different replacement from a different brand?
Thanks 🙂

First: you have to loose the stem bolts before you yank on the preload adjustment bolt. This poor little fella is only to adjust bearing preload and remove play. But as long as the stem bolts are gripping there’s no chance you’ll adjust anything. You can get the [wedge](https://www.canyon.com/de-de/fahrradzubehoer/fahrradteile/ersatzteile-verschleiss/canyon-ersatzteile/canyon-e201-15-wedge/10010634.html) from canyon and the [topcap](https://www.canyon.com/de-de/fahrradzubehoer/fahrradteile/ersatzteile-verschleiss/canyon-ersatzteile/canyon-gp7161-01-topcap/10008043.html), it’s hard to fit other brands because canyon uses 1 1/4 in steerer tubes instead of 1 1/8 like almost every other brand… But yeah you’ll be able to fit other 1 1/4 steerer compressors. Canyon uses the oversized steerer for a stronger shaft that doesn’t need support from a compressor, the wedge from your bike is only an anchor for the bolt.
Edit nevermind, your linked part is cheaper, get this. Contact canyon or watch in your bike garage what steerer size your bike has.
