Hi all,
I need to replace a GRX 815 brake lever for an identical lever due to damage. I disconnected the hose from the original lever, there is an olive embedded on it. Even though Shimano says so in the manual, there was no new olive in the lever.
When I tried to fit it in, it fits into the new lever and clicks into place.
Do I have to change the barb and the olive in this case as well, or is it enough to simply insert, snap, screw and bleed ?

you can reuse the old olive/pin
If the olive is damaged due to the press-fit, just change a new one. the brass pin can be reuse, using the utility knife to cut the old hosing and clean it.
The oliver can be reuse, but it need the heat treatment. It’s a bit complex to explain by typing, just buy a new one, it’s about 1 or 2 dollar.
