Woke up in foggy Kautenbach, Luxembourg. After getting some taste on the previous day of mountains, I decided that I want more of such. Checked the map and realised it was still quite a distance to proper ones. So plan for the day was to take the Trans Euro Trail as basis as start heading towards those! First I rode the last 45 km of TET Luxembourg. Have to say I fell in love with this small country, something the TET has a habit of doing. On France side I hit the trails about 20 km North of Nancy. And WOW, once again awesome trails! Maybe 50 % unpaved. Quite rough gravel as I expected, but hard packed Also some dark tiny forest trails, where in one place almost got lost as I didn’t believe the map đŸ™‚ I made a combination of my own trails on small roads and the TET towards Bresançon which I wanted to reach. Altogether about 480 km of which 180 km TET. Whole day in really beautiful sceneries. Temps were at +32 C, so was nice to keep up some pace. Was also very happy that I got the Advspec Supershirt instead of Goretex! Next item on the shopping list are non-Goretex pants. Once again an awesome day! And booked a room with aircon! Next day further towards mountains!
