A small flat tire kit (patches and tire removal fork), a small pack of chain oil, a pump and a bike multitool. But for longer rides I also carry a backpack (electrolite water, a small towel, lock, extra shocks)

I keep a handgun in mine in case of animal attack. After having a very close call in the woods I started carrying.
