Hey, everyone, as the title states, I am wrestling with the idea of selling this bike. My dilemma is that we’re moving and less stuff to move is definitely more. I have a large stable of bicycles – 10 rideable and 3 in pieces. I’m definitely getting rid of 2 of these and am contemplating getting rid of the Fuji. It’s a nice bicycle, but I have a young family, so I’ve never been able to take it randoneurring or touring.
I don’t know when I’ll be able to do that because it excludes my family. If I got rid of this, would it be too hard to replace later on with one of similar quality? To be honest, doesn’t wow me riding it on a regular basis. I have road / gravel bicycles that are more engaging to ride than it. The closest I get to loading it up is when we go on family rides and my youngest gets to ride in the bicycle trailer after he’s done riding his balance bike.
TL;DR – I don’t use this as a touring bike, but would like to tour / randonneur some day. Should I keep it for that or sell it and get another touring bike in the future?
