getting my first road bike and decided on a Canyon Endurace CF 7 (2024). I am planning to do rides for my fitness and want to cover some nice distances :-). Even though I am usually a rather competitive person, I have no intentions whatsoever to attend races or things like that.
Now in terms of size I seem to be placed between sizes S and M and would therefore love some opinions on what to get. I am thinking it might probably be better to take size S? I am 177 cm tall and have an inseam of 82,5 cm. Since there was a helping tool using that data: My shinbone is around 38cm long, just in case that's helpful.
I also tried a friend's Cube Nuroad Race (2022) in size M (56cm) and put it into comparison with the Canyon in size S and also size M on 99spokes. Testing it on a longer ride, the Cube felt overall a little too long for my taste. After initially thinking it would be a very good fit for me I came to the conclusion, that it felt a little bit stretched after same time. I am adding a screenshot of the 99spokes comparison data in case that is useful for drawing conclusions.
