Hello everyone Im a beginner at bmx and me and my homie are getting into this sport.

I want to pursue bmx seriously and dedicate to it. Which is why i am considering a good amount of money.

-Im looking for a bike rn and am primarily going to be riding street 80% of the time and prolly 20% at park if anything. I live in the city so I’ll never go on dirt.
-Im trying to imitate billy perry’s style or like brandon begin
– Im 5’8 148 (will be 175 in a few months bc bulking) so something that can handle between.
-Looking between the Sunday sound wave or the Sunday street sweeper due to recommendations from people but one is 21 TT and the other is 20.75 TT.
-Which one you should i choose? I wish i could test which fit better. Or should i choose something else? I understand i can always swap parts.

Thank you all for your time and energy, I appreciate you 🙏

Also im built like this rn but will be around 175 in a few months as im bulking

    I’d go with a 20.75. If you’re just learning I wouldn’t get a frame with a crazy short backend just yet. I’d say 13.25

Im 5’8 and ride a 21 and it feels fine and ive also rode a 20.8 and it felt fine. A 20.75 would be ideal for your height, but if a 21 toptube frame is cheaper id go for it

5,7 here and rode 20.5 for most of my bmx life.

Took about 10 years off and just getting back into it.

With modern geometry, bars are higher backend shorter and steeper forks.

I went with 20.75, 9” bars, 15mm fork and 160mm cranks on a kink royale frame.

I think 20.75 is a good for for me and probly would be for you.

I tend to be more jibby, ledge combos, rails and barspins.
(Hope to get all of that back by end of summer but week see)

    I’m 5’7 230lbs and prefer a 21” with a 13.75-14” back end. It’s all preference

I’m the same height as you and ride a 20.75 since 21 feels a bit too big to me.

depending on what purposes. in general, the frame should be slightly smaller than the required height. my opinion was formed
