Hello!

I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the basic Canyon Endurace CF6 to a Di2. I am thinking about installing the 105 Di2 myself to get a decent groupset at a reasonable price compared to the CF8 Di2.

The trouble comes from a SAT answer saying that the CF6 isn't capable of holding a Di2 groupset but is compatible with a mechanical one. My first thought was that they might be pushing me to spend more money on the CF8 Di2 instead of doing what I have in mind.

Looking at the two bikes, it seems like the frames are exactly the same. I don't know if the CF8 Di2 has a dedicated hole for the Di2 front derailleur cable or not. That could be the only difference.

Can someone help me? It would be good to post some pictures of the two models in detail, especially the cable routing for the front derailleur and rear derailleur.

Thank you!

What about the current gruppos isnt decent?

Also you can pretty much install di2 or axs(axs more than di2) on all bikes.

If you desperately crave electric, get an axs gruppo or super record wrl (as they dont need any wires between derailleurs) and just run the brake hoses and voila.

  2. you definitely can add DI2 group set on your frame, however you will need to change your break level, both derailleurs, cable routine, re bleed your disc brake, may need change your cassette or chainring( if you using 2×11 and wanna change to 2×12 di2)

Overall the cost pretty much can get you a bike. Just not worth it unless you find some second hand parts at a really decent price.

And these jobs are not easy for your level. Electric group set is easier to adjust but doesn’t mean it’s easier to install.

  3. unless u go with Sram Rival AXS 2-by, too many parts needs to be changed. buying parts separately always cost more than getting it on a complete bike. might as well sell your current analogue endurace and get a new/used Endurace with Di2
