Hi, I wanted to kindly ask for help. I’m doing an Olmo build, where I am transferring Campagnolo components from an Olmo frame I bought that was too small, to a larger Olmo frame (both circa 1980).
I am trying to remove the crankset and don’t know how to proceed. I’ve attached some pics – I have removed the hex bolts from the crank assembly, and have attached a Park Tool crank remover, but I encounter significant resistance after I engage the crank remover tool within the Campagnolo crank. Honestly, it feels like I would have to use huge brute force to remove the crank after tightening the Park Tool remover, and I’m afraid I’ll do damage.
How should I proceed to remove the crank? Eg should I just apply greater torque to the Park Tool removal instrument, perhaps by using a wrench with a longer lever arm?
Marko.
