Tried my hardest to do the 39 that I signed up for, but I ended up only doing 27 because my leg started cramping up because 2/3 of the first half of the loop was uphill.
Definitely the most labor-intensive physical race of any kind that I’ve done including half marathons and an 18 miler

Congratulations, and you still have a smile on your face!
Nice one!
Congrats! Good for you.
Congrats dude! Respect!
Awesome job and congrats! It’s definitely a different kind of fitness than what hiking and running requires. I can bike all day but would struggle a ton to do a half marathon.
The biggest issue most people have when doing events like this is around nutrition. As a rule of thumb, per hour you should be aiming for about 20-30oz of water, 400-800mg sodium, 200-300 calories. Those are just general estimates, as every body is different. For example, I require about 30oz water, 800mg sodium, and 350 calories.
Keep up the cycling! If you can do 25 miles, you can do 50 miles. If you feel good at the end of 50, you can probably do 100 miles. And if you feel good at the end of 100, you can do 200. Just know that every jump you take makes nutrition and consistency even more important. Baby steps though!
Respect to YOU!
Awesome! And my I add, you have a smile to die for!
Great work!
Congrats!! How was it out there?
