[Music] [Music] [Music] w [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] hello and welcome to this week’s emtv social myself Dave Harley and John mcil so far looking forward to this week’s action for the for the moners hopefully gam will join us in a bit but uh but yeah we’ll see what happened so yeah yeah John mean we’ve had a lot of lot of good positive chats in these me these programs so far this year unfortunately we had a bit in the bump on the road last week and uh uh a few challenges shall we say yeah it would probably a weekend to forget for a number of reasons last weekend Friday night started pretty decent a good win for Josh and he number one and then it just seemed to go downhill from there he’s he’s crashing heat six um looked a particularly S one he could he didn’t look great walking across the center green and he was out for the rest of the meeting I haven’t heard anything personally to see what exactly the injury is I think they were saying it was more ligament in the shoulder than should the shoulder blade that he h last year so maybe a different injury but he was certainly in the pits well looking down for the tower and he could barely lift his arm um so it’s pretty clear earlier on that he wasn’t going to take any part in the meeting um and we we just never fired after that really and but the less said about Saturday the better yeah I mean as as you say we’re still not got full details of Josh’s injury but we know he will be missing this Friday night we’ve got a not a bad guest in in place someone that knows Armadale quite well but we’ll probably get that bit when we talk about talk about Friday nights but uh yeah never never great to missing your captain and obviously we’re Miss Missing Lassie already and young Max and yeah didn’t just Freddy just didn’t go to plan uh and then Saturday as as you say it was even even worse the 6139 loss 39 I wish we at 3929 loss at H workington so it was a tough way to go those guys are all well dialed in down there and uh yeah there there was some positives on Saturday particular Paco later on in the meeting Justin trying hard as always and young Max James in particular I thought was a was a particularly good and really trying hard on Saturday afternoon I think it it goes to show just how much we missed Max and um and Lassa on Friday night as well you know Dale was TR tried as hard as he could but and it wasn’t to be and I think Max is showing Great Signs I saw a clip of him from 15 meters back and during the week there or the weekend um an incredible R I think we really really missed him um on on Friday night on Friday night yeah um it good to have a back on Saturday obviously but last it was a big Miss and I think it’s important you know Josh is a huge miss when he’s injured but these guys they do chip in it has been a team effort the result at Glasgow was a team effort um so it’s it’s disappointing when when we lose these guys and yeah working to there may be some some some green shoots there but I think that’s one we’ll H we’ll try to forget as soon as we can but gram you said isn’t here I was hoping he was going to be here for the big text in this week which is what’s better an Empire biscuit or caramel Shortcake because it all kicked off oh there you go it all kicked off on Facebook this afternoon where Peter Hill I think I think you’re right Peter I think he is away busy with an Empire biscuit Peter agreed with me it was caramel Shortcake all the way so there’s a text in for everyone that could be a first text in oh I have to I wasn’t involved in that but I’ve been going on the German biscuit and that’s a German biscuit for me still depends if you get the right level of jam and the and on top is be perfect yeah I said to G the millionaire short kicks versatile you can microwave it it’s a utility player your your German biscuit your Empire biscuit it’s just it’s the G Eva biscuits you can only do one thing it can only play one well so that’s yeah hope hopefully might see a bit but yeah yeah no well we’ll chin on that one so as as you’re saying this week that was the start of the league campaign last week unfortunately started with two losses but on Friday night we’ve got an opportunity to get to get ourselves on the board on that lead table we do set at the bottom the lead table unfortunately at the moment but but but I win on Friday we’ll start to get us back to where we are it’s still very early days and as as I can always say if you going to lose a match whole match lose the first one because you’ve then got plenty away matches to make up for it so hopefully hopefully we can bow from that and skunthorp on Friday night but uh you know skun skunthorp have certainly been a team to look after in the last few years getting through the playoffs and get couple of wins at Armadale last year and and they’ started this season quite well as well John I think as well we don’t want it was a sore one I came away night thinking well that was a sore one um it reminded us a bit of last year especially after you said at the start we’ve had some positive chats we’ve had been racing well so far this season some great away results but when you take that Josh was injured you had no matx you had no last that’s nearly half your team out you know of that so yeah I know that um Sam Haggins came came in one and DS came in but you know you are riding with half your team effectively H in that meeting so while yeah it was a sore one and I think there’s a lot of despondent fans that left on Friday night you know I dodge people don’t get too down don’t get too despondent you know you look at the team that’s coming through there you know Sam guests on Friday night I can’t wait to see the big man back in a mon race Jack he’s an absolute joy to watch Drew Kemp guting for Paco um there as well Drew all was he scores fairly well around here um so let’s not get too despondent it’s happened and you’re right it’s probably happened at the right time it’s happened at the beginning we can hopefully pick some um some points up on the road and make up for it um but you know skun thop have got a good team as well and I think you know I was looking through their lineups today you see again rolling across the b k h Lambert Simon Lambert scores very well Michael pamp off um there as well hopefully maybe at Reserve we can get a bit of luck um but you know there’s no easy meetings in this championship this season no and as you say unfortunately we are missing Paco as well he’s in a SGP qualifying L ego on Saturday afternoon and there just was no way to get him from Edinburgh on Friday night too in time for that for that meeting I know John and Paco tried hard to to re rearrange that but after getting to the SGP challenge last year Paco seen a a home basic home track for him another great chance for him and obviously we wish him well it’s going to be a tough meeting just look at some of the names I’ve put in there and but he’ll be ke to get make that for H get that GP qua challenge for the second year a row he’s clearly got Ambitions P which is great you know um there’s no point in just riding your bike for the for it and you know we see we get on you know you listen to Josh he wants to win every he’s in there P clearly has Ambitions to being the the grand p and he’s want to get into these be challenges so that enthusiasm that optimism that ambition can only be a good thing to rub off on the rest of the guys yeah but what is great to see is Lassie Frederickson back he’ll he’ll be back at number two for the monarchs and he’ll be be very important his form this season was was really coming into his own so hopefully he’s fully recovered and and and flying on on Friday young Max back again he was really good at on working on Saturday and we need to be strong you know unfort the reserve scor last week as we can see it’s there and and whilst whilst you’re right I don’t think scum Thor at Reserve are as strong as a as oh sorry I forgot were racing last Plymouth well last week yeah they both were very good Nathan AB Luke Harrison both had good starts of the Season AB particulars had some big scores and Luke Harrison coming in the first time regular this level on a two-point average of scored in every meeting so so won’t be easy for the guys no it definitely won’t be and you’re right about Lassie he’s he’s great he seems to be great around the pits with the guys and it seemed an odd one um the virus that he had from what we heard he kind of woke up and didn’t really have any movement things and um an odd one but he’s hopefully he’s on the menend I know he’s been in close contact with the doctors he been close contact with the club and I think John Campbell put something out saying that we’re we’re going to for definite probably today or tomorrow um that he’s going to be here we definitely have our fingers crossed because as last Friday night showed he’s a really important Cog H in this mon he’s he chips away at number two you know if he can go and make he his own um as well he’s definitely an important Rider in this team so it’d be brilliant if he was back for Friday night yeah and just looking at a couple of comments there John CL Clem saying will not be long not be W for long and hopefully we’ll come up with a good result and uh Ryan Anderson S skor have a really solid lineup they yeah show well against us last year they actually beat us 54 36 twice last season including on those playoffs but but they are missing Ryan Douglas but they do have a few track specialists in there H Conor Mountain particular has been really good recently and ped to and Allan and even even Lambert on his day I think you could say from ear in his career he probably never really fancied armale that much but he’s normally wins at least one race every meeting is there and again that’s going to be up up against Kai and and Drew Kemp and there we’ll need those guys to to win that middle order battle as well yeah I think he’s been he’s impressed me probably more than anybody um when he’s came to Armadale because you’re right years ago you know he didn’t fancy the place at all um but you watch him he’s got speed in his bikes he’s he’s flying I think I didn’t see for sure but I’m sure he will be in the British final lineup um which again features that well-known British guy Rory schin um so he’s impressed me Robert Lambert that he’s um the way he’s stepped up and he’s speed in his bikes he’s quick around Armadale you know he’s definitely not one to be underestimated I think Friday um I thought I actually I think with a Bas my opinion about Plymouth last week on the fact that the 1 to7 that we’ve had um at the start of the Season obviously we weren’t expecting Josh to get injured and I’m thinking you know we can go and take care of Plymouth no problem I did say that I thought workington was going to be the hardest meeting I’ve had this season um we’ve made it harder for ourselves we’re losing Josh and things but um you know I think this week at home isn’t going to be a close contest um but there are riders in there that as you say are good around alale um and if anything it’s going to make for some some terrific racing yeah no looking forward to terrific racing and and I strongly advise you guys to go on online now get your tickets .co.uk for for your tickets working on on Sunday as well some of them and uh always ke to show their show their where AR on a Friday night yeah and if if nothing else get yourself along to see big sand back um in a mono race jacket it was a it was a guess that booking that I wasn’t expecting if I’m honest averages are something that I’ve always never really got my finger on say they fluctuating in who they can get in what they can’t get in and I will just leave that to someone else and we’ll get told who it is I didn’t know if Sam fit in there obviously does the way it works is at home you get a 5% bonus on your average so Josh Josh is below Sam in the averages but you had 5% to Josh he goes above Sam so Sam qualifies at home unfortunately we got the way meeting H Sam wouldn’t qualify to be replacing Josh but in our next meeting he couldn’t be replac him enway because that will be against Oxford on Wednesday night the team go to Oxford on Wednesday Sam’s home track this year in the in the championship and another tough tough match for the for the guys and hopefully we might hear more about whether Josh is any chance being back for that or or who who we’ got there to go on a Wednesday night yeah I mean obviously first and foremost we wish Josh UMD recovery what however the injury is if it’s not so severe if it’s something that’s going to keep them out for a we while we definitely wish him all the best and a very very quick recovery because he’s just his box office just now and I feel for him because last season he started the season he got that shoulder injury knocked them back he’s been riding so so well this season he’s an abute joy to watch and you just now even if he doesn’t get you know he’s going to pass people he’s just so quick he’s he’s worth the admission for alone so now we wish Josh has be the recovery and we hope he’s back soon because he is brilliant to watch and and even the pits you know the way he’s talking to the guys and we we can see from up the tower how he interacts with them what he’s doing he’s so important um in there um and John Clemens has put the comment up there as well it will be a joy to watch Sam and Mon’s outfit again um you know and I can’t remember who it was that put on on one of the Facebook things hopefully it’s a nice quick drive up for him I think you know what this isn’t too bad I’ll come back here next year after yeah no fantastic as you said Josh and Paco will be a big M for the for the team on Friday night there’ll be so like zakai and lass and S we need to just stand up a about SGI standing captain on Friday night but yeah we couldn’t have got a better guess than number one that’s that’s for sure and as as with you guys I can’t wait to see them but the most important things for us is to get our league campaign up and running H and pick up three points against the scum thop Scorpions on Friday absolutely absolutely I think um I think if we can if we just need to get back to a win get three points on the board and then just build for there and then you’re back to to BSN action the following week um at home with with Glasgow you put that to bed and then you go into June and say right okay so we’re won hopefully and I’m not putting the C before the horse here but if you can get a result then H you see like went to June bsn’s done hopefully again we can make it through that and you start that positivity into the summer months say right let’s go let’s enjoy some Speedway yeah definitely and with as you say that that big match next week which is effectively a a BSN quarterfinal you’re the winner of the match next week Armadale between Edinburgh and Glasgow will will qualify for the semi-final where we could be a quick fire return to skunthorp skunthorp have made it through to the the SE the semi-finals with with the workington both teams from that Northern section will qualify skun also in the semi-final of the K cup say as we say flying high but hopefully Friday night we’ll bring them bring bring them down and we’ll pick up our first three points and start to to build towards the rest of the the season yeah so well I think on that point we’ll just go there just a quick
