Use a mini water pump. I do a 15 minute recirc with an alkaline cleaner (PBW). Empty out the Nalgene bottle. Refill and use a couple drops of a sanitizing solution followed by another 15 minute recirc. Last step is just run a gallon of water through the line. This is to help stop mold or bacteria build up in the line. Also keeps the water fresh to death. I do this once a week.

Wow, back in the day, we just rinsed em out and air dried them, even the camelbak bladders, if those were used.
What kind of bottle cage is that? Would you recommend it?
