I own an older Brompton and the foam of my saddle is coming loose of its base. All the Brompton saddles I see have round bars to attach them to the seatpost. I’d rather not buy a new saddle and a pentaclip.
Does anybody know an available saddle with flat bars? Doesn’t have to be original Brompton.

Edit: thinking this might not be original to the bike and this style of mounting might have never been available from Brompton.
Have you found the serial number at the rear of the seat tube (easy viewing when the rear wheel is folded under the frame) ?
The first four digits of the serial number are the year and month (first two digits are the year, 3rd/4th digits are the month) of the Brompton.
It is probable, as you noted, that the seatpost is not original to Brompton.
